CABC Scholarships
To All Booster Club Members
with Graduating Seniors,
In 2007, the Clements High School Board of Directors established a
program to award scholarships to deserving student athletes. This year,
the CHS Athletic Booster Club (CABC) will award four $1000 scholarships
to graduating seniors who expect to enroll at an accredited college or
university this fall. The CABC Scholarship Program was founded by the
CABC to encourage High School students to become involved in athletics,
promote sportsmanship, recognize athletic achievement, and to assist
with the costs of higher education. As with all of our programs, the
Scholarship Program is funded through the generosity of our many CABC
members.
A scholarship committee was formed on 3 March to evaluate prospective
candidate applications. In evaluating applications, our overarching
criteria will be selecting high school seniors who have demonstrated
exceptional involvement in athletics, academics, community service and
general citizenship. Attached you will find a packet that contains an
application as well as outlines eligibility and selection criteria.
We have extended the deadline for application submission until 25 April 2008.
Completed packets should be sent to Jill Curtis. Her contact
information is as follows:
