Thursday, Oct 22: The JV Blue team ... Rangers 7, Bush 20

The Clements JV blue team jumped out to an early 7-0 lead Thursday evening over an enthusiastic squad from Bush High.  Charlie Carroll plowed into the endzone from 2 yards out to get the score, and Dan Debord kicked the extra point.

Although the Ranger defense held the Bush running game mainly in check the Broncos were able to make some big plays through the air and on reverses to leave the Rangers trailing 12-7 going into the half.  The Broncos would tack on another touchdown in the 2nd half to make the final score 20-7.  Outstanding efforts were turned in on defense by Taylor Ashford, who also blocked the Broncos 1st extra point attempt, Umair Karowadia, and Scott Clark.  The loss drops the Rangers to 5-2 in district with a very difficult part of the schedule coming up with games against perennial Fort Bend powers Hightower and Kempner.
