Friday, Oct 29: Clements Rangers 31, Dulles 38

Clements played hard but came up short against Dulles last Saturday. Dulles put up 3 scores first with a field goal and 2 touchdowns taking the lead 17-0 midway through the 2nd quarter.  Rangers would get their first score with 42 seconds left in the half on a 13 yd pass from Austin Decell to William Dille. On the ensuing kick-off, Dulles fumbled and the Rangers take over at the Dulles 49 yd line.  Rangers move the ball down to the Dulles 2 yd line with 2 seconds left in the half and Brett Dunn kicks a 20 yd field goal making the score 17-10 Dulles.

 Rangers get the ball to start the 3rd quarter and march down where Jarrod Johnson scores on a 10 yd run tying the game 17-17 with 9:30 left in the quarter. Dulles would then score a touchdown on their next possession taking the lead again 24-17. Rangers come right back and Scott Garcia scores on a 29 yd run tying the game once again 24-24 with 4:16 left in the 3RD quarter. Dulles again comes back and scores a touchdown going back on top 31-24 with 2:50 left in the 3rd.  Rangers would get the next score on a 1 yd touchdown run by Jarrod Johnson (his 2nd)  with 9:23 left in the 4th quarter making the score 31-31. But Dulles would score once again on their drive taking the final lead 38-31.

Rangers had more total yards 408 to Dulles’ 353.  Jarrod Johnson was Clements leading rusher with 117 yards on 23 carries.   

 Rangers will play one last game this Saturday night against Willowridge at 7:00 at Hall Stadium. If you’ve not had the opportunity to attend a send off this season, please make plans to support your Clements Rangers at send off (Saturday, 5:15 pm, Clements field house) and then at the game.
